How I Conquered Suicidal Thinking

I had suicidal thoughts for 35 years.

They simmered in the way back of my brain like an evil stew. Sometimes they crashed to the forefront, blinding me with destructive beliefs:

I’m not good enough. I’ll never be able to succeed. No one wants my work. People don’t like me. Maybe I don’t deserve success. I’m a failure.

Those thoughts destroyed any happiness I might have had. I’d have a little success – maybe sell a piece of art … and then my mind would tear it down, bit by bit, until I was mentally groveling in despair.

At the time EFT was introduced to me in 2001, I was in such emotional turmoil and mental upset that I was at wit’s end. I was –this– far from doing the Dirty Deed.

I found the Key!

When one of my student turned me on to EFT, and I saw it explained on the website, I recognized immediately what EFT was – a way to resolve and heal the myriad mistaken beliefs and habits that plagued my mind and sabotaged every last good thing in my life.

I knew it was the key I had been so desperately searching for for years.

What I did next

I tapped every single day, all day, for 6 weeks.

I tapped on all the ideas, thoughts, beliefs and habits I could think of that were destructive or not supportive.

I made a list of all the things I believed about myself and my life that came up to me when I thought of being and feeling successful. I made more lists as I cleared the first ones.

I noticed that as time went on, the intensity of the destructive thoughts and feelings of inferiority and inadequacy decreased.

You can do this, too.

You say, “I have a job (kids, school, etc.) – how can I take time?”

Even if you have a job, you can still tap!

You just do it silently. In your car on the way to work or go shopping, or wherever. When you take a break or at lunch. At dinner, at night. In bed, as you slide off to sleep. You can even tap silently, imagining tapping with your fingers, if you don’t want to wake up your bed partner.

How much do you care about yourself?
You will tap exactly that much.

What happened?

One morning after about 6 weeks of concerted tapping, I awoke with this weird feeling – like not only was something missing, but there was a whole other feeling I couldn’t identify.

It took me an hour to realize – I felt happy!

It was the first time I’d felt genuinely happy in decades.

Something else felt … missing. It took me a while to figure out that this was how it felt to not have the enormous load of complaints and worries that had plagued me for so long.

They were just – gone.

I am quite sure that if it hadn’t been for tapping, I would have gone through with the suicidal thoughts and done the deed.

If I were a beginner right now…

1. I’d get the book, Change Your Mind with EFT (read about the book HERE), and learn how to use tapping. It’s a step-by-easy-step manual, with stories you can tap right along with as you read. Then, get the book! HERE

2. I’d go to EFTinEveryHome, and tap through with the free demo on anger.

3. I’d tap on myself all day every day so I could resolve every last negative thought, limiting belief and destructive habit I could think of.

4. For questions, I’d refer to Change Your Mind with EFT, because it has all the answers to a newbie’s questions.

5. I’d hook up with an EFT practitioner who could lead me through my blind spots. You can find a practitioner near you and work together in person, or work with someone online through zoom. Either way works.

6. I’d go to seminars, workshops and demos if I could afford it.

7. I’d participate in weekly tapping groups.

If I couldn’t afford any of those things, I’d still get the book. I’d get it on Amazon in print and wear it out by using it so much.

And I’d have a completely new life in very short order.

That’s what I did. And within a year…

I was so delighted with my own life that I decided to become an EFT practitioner, because I could see how I could help others so easily with the seemingly insurmountable problems they had because of their own destructive thoughts, beliefs and habits.

Then, people started asking me to teach them, so I became a trainer. I led workshops, and weekly tapping groups called Next Level Tapping.

Instead of feeling like poor-poor-pitiful-me, crying myself to sleep every night and constantly worrying and complaining, I feel happy and pleased with my life.

I have helped thousands of people, and the soul-satisfaction is beyond anything else I could ever imagine.

Are you new to tapping?

Go for it with gusto. If you can’t afford five bucks for the book, email me and I’ll send you a copy free.

You’ll have to give me a pretty good reason why you can’t find five little dollars for something that will change your entire life. In one paragraph. I won’t sit here and read a long sob story. Either you want to change, or you don’t.

I implore you to make the choice to resolve your bad habits and limiting thoughts and beliefs!

Please – make the time to dream up an outrageously exciting, happy and fun life for yourself.

Tap on your doubts and fears, and as you start living your new life, you will regain the strength, power and confidence you have longed for for so long.
